Associate Planner

Plans and coordinates inventory to maximize company sales growth and profitability by working closely with the Senior Planning Manager and merchandising team on designing and implementing thoughtful inventory strategies that promotes profitable sales growth and satisfy customer demand. Assists in achieving objectives of the planning team by executing all planning functions which include inventory allocation, forecasting and seasonal assortment and financial planning.

What You'll Do...

  • Develop inventory strategies for product category including new product buys, reorders and markdowns strategies.
  • Report and forecast sales, margin and inventory at a category level based on changes in trend, strategy or business climate.
  • Develop and provide appropriate business analysis to influence future purchases and assortment strategies.
  • Work closely with merchandising team to identify sales opportunities through effective strategic assortment planning.
  • Develop pre-season plans in coordination with department and company targets.
  • Create and generate reports and partner with planners to analyze sales trends and inventory levels for pre-season and in-season planning.
  • Manage category planning operations, including critical deadlines, coding, hunt paths and product lead-times.
  • Utilize inventory management tools to monitor shipments and ensure accurate estimated time of arrival dates and product availability for sales demand.
  • Assist the Planning team with daily planner responsibilities. Support the Merchandising Department in the training and on-boarding of new associates.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment within the Merchandising Department focused on distinctive product and an engaged customer experience.

What You'll Bring...

  • 1-2 years planning experience or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong detail orientation, organized, ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently to prioritize activities based on business needs
  • Team player with a focus on collaboration
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
