Associate Art Director, Digital

This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Chicago, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
A day in the life as an Associate Art Director, Digital ...
Create innovative images, GIFs, and videos for brand, web, and social channels
Work closely with Senior Art Director to conceptualize the look and feel for seasonal campaigns and promotions
In close partnership with the Senior Art Director, lead digital design projects from inception to launch
Direct photo and video teams on set, both in studio and on location
Edit engaging videos for paid and organic channels
Work closely with the social media team to sculpt the look and feel of our digital presence
Present storyboards and ideas to the broader team for approval
Build shot lists and assist with asset management and organizing footage, catalog merchandise used in shoots, and tag images accordingly
Stay current on industry trends, share learnings with creative team, pull inspiration and examples from multiple sources to inform projects
Collaborate with internal teams to support multi-channel initiatives
What you’ll bring to the table…
Ability to create engaging visuals for digital channels
Experience with storyboarding and video editing
Formal design skills and proven passion for typography, composition, color, and layout
Strong understanding of studio, product, and editorial photography
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and other internal tools
After Effects, CaptureOne, web coding, HTML and CSS knowledge are a plus
Well versed in social media specifications and requirements
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment
Ability to give and receive effective critique of visual design work
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Thorough, organized, and detail oriented
Passionate about social media and up to date on digital trends
Interest in fashion, art, and pop culture
Up to 10% travel required

Must provide Portfolio link (including password) on resume or link to PDF samples
Bachelor’s degree preferred
4 years of relevant experience
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Strong visual portfolio or body of work
Experience with directing both photo and video a plus
Experience in the retail industry a plus
Starting Rate: $60,000.00 - $78,000.00
Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
